  1. Dave - thanks again for getting the Penn rod and reel to me in time for my vacation.  You managed to locate and get the items to me when others couldn't even find them.  I didn't catch any monster sharks, but even the 4 footers were entertaining when brought onboard my bass boat.
    PENN 3195RS +  PENN 114H2LW

  2. Just ordered another Tsunami TSTBS-703H 3 piece travel rod from I took it down to the Caribbean this year and 2 friends were so impressed at the light weight, sensitivity and strength they asked me to bring down some for them. Packs really nicely in a suitcase too. One just asked me last minute for another one and fishermanRDS, Dave was able to hook me up just in time before I head back to the Caribbean again. I have it paired with a Penn 760L. Great stuff!!! I used it for trolling, rock and bottom fishing.  Caught and released this 55-60# stingray with it.
  3. Please check out our new CHARITIES page.  There are links there to make DONATIONS to the Ride for Kids and the Disabled Veterans Fishing Program.  The Ride for Kids supports the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation to find the cause and cure.  The DVFP provide maritime outings for our Wounded Warriors in New Hampshire.  You can donate money directly to both from the links we provided.  You can also purchase fishing gear here and we will ship it to the DVPF for free.  They are both 501 C3 charitable organizations .
  4. Please check out this new link to the US Geological Survey Water Data site at We added this to our links (left column at bottom) because it will help you catch more fish. We recommend you fish during the times that the water level is more stable. Their charts show a sine wave as the water level goes up and down (coinciding with the tide cycle).  If you fish when the cycle is at the top or bottom, you catch more fish.  When the chart line is in between these "hot times", move to a new spot, change your rigging or eat lunch.  You can zero in on any body of water in the U.S. including lakes, rivers and many ponds.

Upper left chose Data Category “Surface Water”.  Newbies should try the “Tutorial” to save time.

Upper left choose Geographic Area “Your State” and click “GO” box.

“Daily Data” usually has more sites.  Click it.

Scroll down to “Choose Site Selection Criteria” and click name of water body or “Lat-Long box” (most accurate).

Pick your data and Click “Submit”

Give it a try.  Tight lines to all.

  5. Here is my "line" you asked for. Thanks again. I love my new Tsunami 3 piece travel rod. TSTBS-703H It's a 7'0" heavy duty rod in a heavy cloth travel bag. It packs small and matches nicely to my Penn 760L live-liner. Caught 2 nice fish over 30 pounds on 20 pound test mono. This combination has a light touch and some brute strength when I needed it. I will definitely shop your store again. Thanks.
  6. I asked for some advice on a new reel for the rod I have. They asked a lot of questions about the way I fish and recommended a Tekota. I'm very pleased with my new set up. Thanks alot.
  7. I called Customer Support about a rod not advertized. Said I needed it first of next week. They not only found the rod I wanted, but added it to the website the same day. I put in my order that night and the rod was in my hands on Monday by 12:00 noon. They also beat the price I found on another site and still gave me free shipping. Outstanding - I'm telling all by fishing buddies.
  8. Found a great chater captian in Hollywood, Florida, Ralph Hawkins. Find his link below on bottom left. This guy really puts you on the fish: 4 kings, 1 big amber jack, 1 grouper and 65 vermillion snappers. That was a great 4 hour trip. Can't wait to do it again. Great boat, great guy.
  9. They didn't have last years model of the Penn reel I wanted, but they expedited the delivery of this years model and made me a great deal. Thanks so much.
  10. Didn't catch the limit but we caught 2 walleye's, 1 large mouth, 1 pike and a catfish. As they say the worse day out fishing is still better than the best day in the office!!!
  11. Great site!  Had the reels I wanted and free shipping.  I also liked the discounted price.
  12. cool site, great prices
